Present status and perspectives of the study of drip line nuclei at CNS
نویسنده
چکیده
In-beam spectroscopy of drip line nuclei at intermediate energies is discussed from the aspects of the inverse kinematics and the selectivities of secondary reactions. As an example of the invariant mass spectroscopy, a study of the isobaric analog state of the dripline nucleus 14Be excited by the (p,n) reaction is presented. For the next phase of γ-ray spectroscopy, a new array consisting of segmented Ge detectors made by the Center for Nuclear Study (CNS) is introduced.

Present status and perspectives of the study of drip-line nuclei at GANIL
The evolution of nuclear structure in the presence of en excess of neutrons or protons that means in nuclei far from the stability line is one of the main subject of scientific activity at GANIL the French national heavy-ion accelerator facility. Among the main goals of these research one should mention: study of the isospin-dependent term(s) in effective nucleon-nucleon interactions, links bet...
متن کاملShell model studies of neutron rich nuclei ⋆
We discuss the present status of the description of the structure of the very neutron rich nuclei, in the framework of modern large scale shell model calculations. Particular attention is paid to the interaction related issues, as well as to the problems of the shell model approach at the neutron drip line. We present detailed results for nuclei around N=20 and, more briefly, we discuss some sa...
متن کاملChallenges in Teaching ESP at Medical Universities of Iran from ESP Stakeholders' Perspectives
The status of teaching ESP has been studied both internationally and locally. However, it seems that the challenges of teaching ESP in medical universities of Iran have not been studiedappropriately. The main objective of the present study was to explore the main challenges of teaching ESP in medical universities of Iran. Due to the nature of the study, a qualitative res earch design (Phenomeno...
متن کاملRelativistic mean - field study of light nuclei near drip line
The relativistic mean field theory is applied to study some exotic properties of neutron rich nuclei as recently observed, namely, extension of the drip-line for F nuclei from 29 F to 31 F and the appearence of a new shell closure at neutron number N = 16. We find 31 F to be bound against one-neutron dripping but unbound only marginally for two neutron separation. The calculated functional depe...
متن کامل1 Nuclei beyond the drip line
In a Thomas-Fermi model, calculations are presented for nuclei beyond the nuclear drip line at zero temperature. These nuclei are in equilibrium by the presence of an external gas, as may be envisaged in the astrophysical scenario. We find that there is a limiting asymmetry beyond which these nuclei can no longer be made stable.
